Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron:
Ah Dogfish Head, once again we come back to you. Today’s brown malt brew is Palo Santo Marron. This very dark, heavy malt is brewed in the largest wooden beer kettles since the repeal of prohibition. These nice exotic wooden kettles provide hints of caramel, coffee and vanilla throughout the malt liquor (it’s 12% alcohol per bottle, so it is classified as a malt liquor and not a beer). The beer is HEAVY, almost a meal in a bottle and carries a bit more bite that you’d expect from a darker brew. Highly recommended to those adventurous souls, though I remember this being very expensive for a 4-pack so buyers beware on this one.
