Hello all faithful readers. Today’s column covers another one of those nice but difficult to find special brews that are only found in the family pack. This certain beer, Shiner Rye Lager Ryes & Shine is a very tasty dark lager. Combining three different hops with rye and chocolate malts this beer comes across like a American Guinness, from the silky smooth body to the light coffee flavor. I have to say this is a very good beer but I won’t specifically seek this one out enough to by the family pack. If I really want to try this beer again, I’ll just turn to Guinness (maybe even Guinness Extra Stout for the rye flavor). I would really like to see Shiner put this beer and Kosmo by themselves or in a big bottle form.
