Foster's:
Today’s beer is the first from the land down under. Foster's, Australian for “Beer”. What a slogan! What an ad campaign! What a way to be part of popular culture! What a bad beer! Really unsure of exactly why this beer gets all the publicity that it does other than we Americans love anything not from our own shores and marketing people know that (i.e. anything labeled “European”). This beer reminds me of another beer I’ve had long ago, but can’t remember it right now, but it’s taste was vile and heavy in hops with no after taste of them or anything other than something bad. I can’t remember the beer right now but I’m sure I’ll run across it again this year and we can solve this minor mystery. Maybe it’s the strain of hops they use, but whatever it is, I won’t be touching an oil can of Foster's Lager any time soon.
