Bud Ice:
Greetings libation users. Today we explore that
beer which is made from the ice of the St. Louis Blues rink, Bud Ice.
Since the new arena opened in downtown St. Louis, Budweiser has slowly
and meticulously hand chiseled ice out of the rinks’ floor, the ice
blocks are taken across downtown to the Anheuser-Busch brewery where
they are melted down to a water state, combined with the remaining
famous four ingredients that make a
Budweiser so special and then bottled in both 12 ounce and 40 ounce
bottles to be sold at only the most select vendors who pass rigorous
standards and qualifying to sell this special brew that’s made from the
ice that such special players as the Great One, Cujo, and the man
himself, Brett Hull skated on. Or it could be that this beer is
basically Budweiser, put through fractional freezing for distillation
and sold cheaper in most corner stores, grocery stores and hood rat
hangouts around the country. While fractional freezing is supposed to
up the alcohol content of the substance being distilled, Bud Ice
contains only .5% more ABV than original Budweiser so nothing special
there (especially after Bud Light Platinum). Oh and fractional freezing
is illegal in some countries due to the fact that it can concentrate
poisonous alcohols that are lost in normal distillation. Either way,
poisonous or just cheap beer, I’ll be staying away from it in the
future. There are plenty of other cheap and tasty alcoholic beverages
to choose from than this one.
