Budweiser Select:
Howdy sports fans! I would like to elcome our new readers to this “contest” and recognize the loyalty of all those who have stuck around. Today we continue my punishment for some unknown crime and continue to tackle the Budweiser family. Today, we are looking at a Budweiser Select and yes, it’s a blonde (I know, shocking). First notice after pouring, well second actually, first is “All Bud beers smell the same when you pour them” (a sour malty smell if you must know) is that this beer is filled with a lot more carbonation than any other beer this week. A steady ascension of bubbles was streaming up from the recesses of my tulip glass, giving the beer a consistent, thin white foamy head. Kind of a nice surprise, keeps the beer tasting fresh and crisp. Now on the other hand the flavor is, well, umm, it’s a Bud product, a LIGHT Bud product for that matter, so you should know the taste by now. I’d place this right behind Bud Light Platinum as far as best tasting beer so far (calm down, I just meant this week). Not a bad beer, but I’d take Platinum over this if given the choice.
