Abita Beer Wheat:
Hello Dear heats! As if we didn’t get our fill of our friend’s to the East earlier this week, we once again settle down with another fine Abita brew. This time, we dip into the seasonal pool and pull up Abita Wheat. This beer available during the summer, is a great BBQ beer that posses…wait, a summer release? Damn, how long was this thing sitting on the shelf when I bought it last month??? Well taste is still good, a light lager with no real after taste to speak of though a pleasant grainy flavor does sit on my tongue with this one. Not bad, can see why they recommend this with summer BBQ plates and any grill fare (which can be almost anything). Being from Louisiana, Abita can’t leave a traditional wheat beer alone and has filtered this bad boy to give it less of that heaviness and cloudiness traditional wheat beers can have and leaves a beer almost kin to a Usual Suspect but with better taste.
