Bohemia Classica:
Hello Sports fans! Today’s beer is once again one that has dodged our militaristic border to the south, braved the Texas badlands and found its way into my beer glass tonight. Bohemia Classica hails from Montezuma and is surprisingly complex for a Mexican Beer. While most Mexican beers sport similar flavors and look, this one comes in more pilsner than lager (cleaner, clearer look than a lager). The beer has a nice clean smell, almost neutral in it’s over all nose. Taste is wonderfully complex with a wide pallet from a clean smooth front end (common in most Mexican lagers) with a slight hop and spice finish. A good beer, I will ask for it again next time I eat at a Tex-Mex restaurant and a good substitute for Negro Modelo.
