Today’s beverage hails once again from our lovely friends in Louisiana, Abita. This seasonal brew is one more adept to those lightweight lady beer drinkers in our audience. The Strawberry Harvest Lager is one that uses ripe Louisiana strawberries for a nice lingering strawberry flavor in a otherwise oh hum beer. With any beer, this one is best served ice cold and really should accompany foods such as mild cheese and breads. I’m not a huge fan of this beer, a lot of my cohorts out there scramble like mad to buy cases of this stuff when it’s available but I find a six-pack, maybe two, does me just fine for a year. Best beer for entertaining lady friends or a mother, it’s light and inoffensive when compared to what I’ve had most of this year so far.
