Left Hand Stranger American Pale Ale:
Today’s brew deals with that issue that we all have seen (or done) when a night of heavy drink is done.  We go home with a stranger.  Sometimes this is good, sometimes this is bad, and sometimes we don’t remember a single damn thing.  Well, after a night of heavy Mardi Gras drinking, I found myself with a stranger that I brought into my home.  Sadly, she wasn’t cute or even that special.  Left Hand Brewery’s American Pale Ale isn’t that great, good, but not great, which really is a disappointment with their performance in this endeavor.  The beer pours nicely with good carbonation and a nice head and comes across with a earthy, almost lettuce like smell and while this isn’t a turn off, it was a bit peculiar.  The taste was good, clean front end with a nice hoppy finish but it did little to separate itself from other Pale Ales.  Maybe it’s best that I don’t remember this stranger.
