Red Hook Winter Hook:
Red Hook is quickly becoming a second favorite of mine. If I find any of their selections on tap somewhere, I’ll order it over anything else. Why wouldn’t you love a brewery that openly admits that it’s early mistakes led to a cult following in the Seattle area? Today’s brew is another winter beer, the Winter Hook is a heavy hop filled brew that has that peculiar taste that divides beer drinkers everywhere.  For those curious as to a hop filled beer taste, think skunk but in taste rather than smell- not really a ringing endorsement for it but this is something that was called a “wicked and pernicious weed" in the 1500’s.
