Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan:
Today’s brew isn't exactly a bottle picture due to the low lighting in the bar plus it was on tap and well, I was just plain lazy in not snapping a pic. Lazy Magnolia is a recent find that produces some fine brews that we will explore more this year but we’ll start with the Southern Pecan. This nice amber brew is a great addition to the food of the deep south (i.e. hot tamales, crawfish, gumbo, deep fried water) or just sipping on a warm May evening. The smooth taste and finish of this beer can be attributed to the fact that they use whole roasted pecans in the brewing process and lightly hopped so the roasted nutty flavor comes through in a banner waving way. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Louisiana/Mississippi area.
