Abita Mardi Gras Bock:

For those who haven’t heard about this relatively new party that New Orleans is throwing, it’s called Mardi Gras which is some language for “many drunks watching floats."  Apparently this whole thing is a big enough deal that my favorite brewery, Abita, is throwing their weight behind this seasonal brew, Mardi Gras Bock. This surprisingly complex beer that sports a three malt blend and is very close in taste to German Maibocks that populate the beer landscape during Oktoberfest. Again, with any Abita beer, I highly recommend this with a nice meal of your choosing, the very balanced flavor of the Maibocks allows it blend with almost any food out there. Now, if this whole Mardi Gras thing takes off, we will see this beer again next year.
